Alas, I am behind the curve on this, but it just means we are closer to finding the actual nominations for the Emmys!! Here are the ones who made the cut:
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Rebecca Budig (Greenlee Hayward), Alicia Minshew (Kendall Slater), and Debbi Morgan (Angie Hubbard)
: Maura West (Carly Tenney) and Colleen Zenk (Barbara Ryan)
: Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan)
: Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady), Alison Sweeney (Samantha Brady)
: Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) and Laura Wright (Carly Jacks)
: Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) and Gina Tognoni (Kelly Cramer)
: Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Newman)
Quick Thoughts: Glad that Zenk got pre-nominated as she did some fabulous work in the weeks nearing the finale! Not much to say on OLTL since I've missed most of it in 2010, but I think they must've gotten it right.... Y&R: ....about right, Cooper & Stafford both made my short-list for possible nominees for the awards here.
Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake Martin) and Michael E Knight (Tad Martin)
: Jon Lindstrom (Craig Montgomery) and Michael Park (Jack Snyder)
: Don Diamont (Bill Spencer, Jr.) and Jack Wagner (Nick Marone)
: Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) and James Scott (EJ DiMera)
: Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan)
: Jerry ver Dorn (Clint Buchanan) and Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan)
: Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) and Christian J LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin)
Quick Thoughts: For ATWT, I think Van Hansis (Luke Snyder) should've definitely gotten pre-nominated (unless he decided not to submit himself for consideration, which is a shame, since he did some great work near the finale).... not surprised to see Lindstrom and Park up for consideration, but I have a feeling they might not get nominated as they didn't have a strong showing in the final weeks. OLTL: I suppose it was a good choice? I don't think anyone else really stood out during nomination period?? Y&R: Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) is the only glaring omission I can mention, he did some great work near the end of 2010.... I can't remember anything that stands out from Bergman & LeBlanc (even though both are CRAZY talented).
Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Melissa Claire Egan (Annie Chandler) and Chrishell Stause (Amanda Martin)
: Terri Conn (Katie Peretti), Lesli Kay (Molly Conlan), and Julie Pinson (Janet Ciccone)
: Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore) and Heather Tom (Katie Logan Spencer)
: Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker)
: Julie Marie Berman (Lulu Spencer) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis)
: Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord) and Bree Williamson (Jessica Buchanan)
: Tricia Cast (Nina Webster), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell)
Quick Thoughts: On ATWT, Pinson didn't have a strong showing as she did for when she won her Emmy last year, but I am over the moon that Kay & Conn both are pre-nominated because they did some fabulous work!! I hope that Conn takes home the gold this year! OLTL: Then again, I might be rooting for Williamson because she is very talented and I love her work as Jessica! Y&R: All three ladies did a great job last year, but I think Cast & Hendrickson might edge out Heinle.... On the purpose of having stronger material to work with... but I wouldn't count Heinle out yet because she has managed to make Victoria Newman into her own character in the past half-decade.
Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Cornelius Smith, Jr. (Frankie Hubbard) and Jacob Young (JR Chandler)
: Trent Dawson (Henry Coleman) and Eric Sheffer Stevens (Reid Oliver)
: Patrick Duffy (Stephen Logan) and Rick Hearst (Whipple Jones, III)
: Shawn Christian (Daniel Jonas) and Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip Kiriakis)
: Jonathan Jackson (Lucky Spencer) and Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake)
: Brian Kerwin (Charlie Banks) and Mark Lawson (Brody Lovett)
: Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) and Billy Miller (Billy Abbott)
Quick Thoughts: ATWT: Soooooooooooooo glad Stevens is up for consideration, his work as Reid was brilliant, but I think there is no excuse for Van Hansis to not be up for consideration, at LEAST in this category! OLTL: Again, I can't really say for sure. Y&R: Davidson is always talented but he didn't make my short-list as Miller did... though I think the actors of Ronan and Chance (and maybe Cane) would've edged out these two for me.
Outstanding Younger Actress In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Brittany Allen (Marissa Chandler) and Natalie Hall (Colby Chandler)
: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Kim Matula (Hope Logan)
: Molly Burnett (Melanie Layton) and Shelley Hennig (Stephanie Johnson)
: Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina Corinthos Davis) and Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing Davis)
: Kristen Alderson (Starr Manning) and Brittany Underwood (Langston Wilde)
: Emily O'Brien (Jana Hawkes)
Quick Thoughts: Not much to say here, but O'Brien from Y&R did some great work.
Outstanding Younger Actor In A Drama Series Pre-Nominees:
: Finn Wittrock (Damon Miller)
: Mick Hazen (Parker Munson Snyder)
: Scott Clifton (Liam Cooper) and Zack Conroy (Oliver Jones)
: Casey Deidrick (Chad Woods) and Chandler Massey (Will Horton)
: Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) and Nathan Parsons (Ethan Lovett)
: Edward Alderson (Matthew Buchanan) and David A. Gregory (Robert Ford)
Quick Thoughts: No Y&R noms?? Hmmmm, anyways, not much to say here either.
